IR-reception for own added devices

Could it be made possible that IR devices we add individually that homey can send and receive their signals?

It seems that only the enlisted IR-models can be received by homey :-(

    Can also someone explain, why only some of the buttons work when I add a new remote manually.

    Example: I have an IR controlled led. I can tell homey to turn it on, butt he can't turn it of.
