Sleep As Android

I use Sleep As Android as my alarm and would love an app for it so Homey can perform certain actions when I just woke up, when I'm supposed to go to bed, set alarms for me, greet me differently when I haven't slept well, etc.

There's a developer API available.

I also saw a tutorial on their site about Tasker, so I suppose that could be a workaround if no one wants to make an app. Ofcourse I'd still prefer direct integration with Homey.

I just read the docs a bit and it seems that it is not possible to listen via a rest api of something like that for changes in your behaviour. That is why they have a tasker tutorial. Tasker is able to listen on the device itself to do stuff.

I'm actually using the same app!
At the moment I'm testing it with the IFTTT integration, but it works wonky (as IFTTT always does IMO).
@jjtbsomhorst: Does tasker work faster/more reliable than IFTTT?

As for the API: I'm afraid they can only perform actions from within Android, as mentioned above.
  • I don't have any experience with Tasker
  • Thanks. Ok, so directly connecting Homey and Sleep As Android is out of the question. I'll try using tasker in that case.

I suppose you could plot your sleep data into Homey,s Insights with the SleepCloud API, but that honestly doesnt seem very useful since you have to manually export the data, so it's always just historic data.

IFTTT is a web based tool, e.g. you need to be connected tot he internet otherwise it will not work,
Tasker is an app on your android phone which should be local, hence the reliability is (or should be ) higher
  • Taskers works 99/100 and is very reliable. I use it icm with Sleep as android and also incoming call detection.
