Z-wave+ doorbell

Is there a supported Z-wave+ doorbell? I can only find kaku ones.

  • Not that I know of. I made a doorbell by connecting a standard doorbell to a Fibaro door/window sensor. This has the added benefit that the expensive part is on the inside, and cannot be stolen. Then I use a KAKU chime to actually sound the bell in our living room. Since I don't need feedback from the chime and it is not battery-powered, I don't mind using KAKU.

But that one is not supported.
  • It will, eventually.  :)

The aeotec doorbel is not sold by any dutch sellers with the reason that there were a LOT of complaints about this particular device, sometimes just not triggering etc.

And i would also advice not to go for this product.

the button itself works on 433 mhz (so not on z-wave's 868).
So the range and reliability is not that high, and can't use the z-wave mesh to extend that range.
