Can't install KAKU - This app is incompatible with your Homey software version

Homey firmware 0.8.39
I had the old version of the KAKU software apparently still installed so I deinstalled it and tried to install the latstest KAKU app.

Even after a reboot of Homey I get this error.

When trying to install it by adding a device, I get an [object Object] error.

I hope I won't need to reset to factory default??

Take a leap of faith, cone over to 0.9.3 and dont stay i the 80's
If you dont use IR why not.

You go from a buggy Homey to a buggy Homey.
It will stay likke buggy for months to come so why dont you update ?
  • The 0.8.39 is the last 'stable'.
Only the app's has to be updated to work with the experimental 0.9.x versions.
So on the end the 0.8.39 is not so 'stable' any more trough incompatible with those app's.
  • True, I think that's an issue with the app-store. It should be possible to have two versions of an app : one stable and one experimental...created an issue:
    https://github.com/athombv/homey/issues/853
  • So... The advice is to update?
  • If you don't use IR I can't imagine why a update would hurt... Afaik everything else only got better... but no guarantees :)
