Help with Flow

Hi guys,

I have a fibaro sensor and a fibaro dimmer in my kitchen. I would like to create a flow that turns on the dimmer (lights) when the sensor is seeing movement. I think i can figure this out but how do I go about turning the lights of again after a certain amount of time eg 5 min.

Regards
Jacob

  • Basicly you could do something like this.

1ste flow if movement is seen.... turn on light and start timer. (Timer app)

2nd Flow. When timer stops turn of lights.

The trouble is that when someone stops moving in the kitchen for the time of the timer, the lights go out.

Wehn one leaves the kitchen, that will be the last movement and than the timer starts.

You could upgrade this setup by using other variables, but as a start...

Hope this gets you on your way.

Or you could use the build in timer in the motion sensor.

Just change it to 5 minutes (300 seconds) until "motion cancellation" is being send,
this timer gets reset when ever it sees motion after the default 8 seconds.
and use the "motion has stopped" card in the second flow
  • Didn't think of that one. Even better, keeping it smaller.
