What is your maximum IR range of Homey?

As I learned here my Homey only seems to have an IR range of about 1.5m: https://github.com/athombv/homey/issues/719#issuecomment-230172062
This does not feel normal to me as I remember videos demonstrating much more. What IR do you guys have with your homey?

We've also started with the Infrared rewrite. The software will be a lot better. Not only the interface, but also performance wise. The signals that Homey is currently emitting are not always optimized, let's say they're with an 'accent', so hard to decode by some devices. The new interface will also include the possibility of pasting Pronto HEX codes per key, and much better button learning. We've kind of underestimated how hard Infrared was, but now we're on top of it!
We know
But my Marmitek confirms that the IR-beam is very(!!) narrow and outside the "sweet spot" very(!!) weak.
Software won't fix that.
Also people tested Homey's PCB without the original housing and then IR performance gets a boost.
