New Wifi network: fix only by factory resetting Homey?

Team,

My access point just broke an I had to install a new AP with a different SSID.
(don't ask why, but I cannot use the old SSID)

Is the only way to get my Homey connected by holding it upside down for x seconds, therefore factory resetting the device?
(and losing anything I had done?)

After holding it upside down an than selecting the new AP you can answer if you want to erase all data
