New flow condition for "time between x and y"

With the current flow capabilities, it would be very nice to have a condition to check if the current time is between two times of day.

I have a flow that should only trigger around bedtime. I have to duplicate that flow with two different conditions, one for "the time is later than..." and another that deals with times after midnight. I've tried "before sunrise" which incidentally didn't seem to work, but in any case, this is rather impractical.

I will build my own condition for this for the time being, but unless you are planning to support more advanced conditions in the near future (like "time after x OR time before y" as well as "time after x AND before y"), this would be a good thing to have built-in. Even after adding better boolean logic I think this card could be practical to have.

The extended and/or features/cards are on Athoms (wish)list, since dec 2015, for the next flow"editor" release.

    Release date?

    Nobody knows.....
  • I agree, this would be a nice addition indeed.

Yeah, I know. However, this seems to be rather low on the priority list right now, which is sort of understandable. I was just arguing for a quick-win type change, one that (imo) won't be ridiculously redundant after we get a better flow editor.

I have a lot of stuff going on right now IRL, which means I probably won't have time for my original Homey related project. This should be easy however, so if I get something useful I'll see about getting it published. Hopefully it will become redundant eventually.
