Hi,
It looks like the Sony Bravia can be controled via HTTP. It would be great if some one could make an app for it!
On this page (scroll down for even mote) there is a lot of information: http://www.openremote.org/display/forums/Sony+TV+HTTP+control
Especialy the message of MICHAEL TOUT COURT is interesting. Looks like you first need to authenticate, then it should be possible to give commands to the TV..

unfortunately I lack the knowledge to build such an app.
That would be exactly the same as the Yamaha Receiver, which I've written an app for:
https://github.com/kruimel0/yamaha-app-homey
I believe it might be easiliy adaptable from this source, but I don't have a Bravia TV to test it (if anyone sends me a Bravia TV, I'd be more than happy to make an app )
It looks like it is indeed sending some XML to an IP. The only tricky part is that you need to authenticate your device (Homey). This is from the Openremote site:
I have no idea whats the status of the TV right now (is it hot/cold on/standby or ON).
So will try it later this day when i'm home and sitting in front of it.
BTW we have a 2015 Bravia AndroidTV.
Our kd-49x8305c does react if I follow the above instructions.
I can confirm that our kdl-55W755c also reacts when I follow the instructions. This is also a Bravia 2015 model.
Have no idea when its in Alpha and so testing state.
I can't find any info on auto discovery or some other way to identify/find the TV on a home network.
Did you guys maybe found something?
Let me know how your app works out, if you get stuck or anything.
Thanx!
i'm working on the basics and i'm now just asking for the IP.
I guess my TV is too old for this
Now its adding it to app code.
Hopefully I have a working app before end of next week.
Come on men, after waiting 2,5 years that one week is to much?!
I'm looking for the capability differences between the Bravia ethernet TV.
So could the owners of a Bravia androidtv/"ethernet enabled" devices try to run this command against there TV;
Headers: SOAPAction: "urn:schemas-sony-com:service:IRCC:1#X_SendIRCC"
Data: {"method":"getRemoteControllerInfo","params":[],"id":10, "version":"1.0"}
The result should be a list with all capabilities of the TV and should look like:
Please pm(or post) me the result so i can see if there are big differences between the TV's.
This is from a KDL-50W755C
test
Thanx!
Did a quick scan/test of 5 value and it looks like there are no differences.
Better late than never. Sony Bravia KDL-50W809C:
