Are these remotes KlikAanKlikUit remotes?

TIL that Kaku is a brand, and not just a type of remote?

Anyway, I have these remotes and tried pairing them, but they aren't working with the Kaku plugin. Should they? Or are they really different, as I don't have the channel switch on my remote for example?

  • HomeEasy isn't compatible with the KAKU protocol. I have also 8 HE sockets, a dimmer and several remotes.
At this moment they don't work with Homey, only work with my Domoticz/ RFXCOM . I see them also as a different protocol in the RFX manager.

Already asked @Athom / @Reinier already confirmed on github it is on a very long to-do list. You can vote for it here https://trello.com/c/o0wS1Z9u/31-homeeasy

They probably are really different... Kaku is a brand indeed which uses it's own protocol over 433 MHZ

Really different?? I bought mine HEs approximately 7?  Year's ago at the karwei, they where the standard at that time.
They switched to the KAKU brand later and I couldn't see a difference except the logo. I didn't  try if they were  compatibles or not.
Later I discovered using RFXCOM they send an different signal.

That sucks. I thought the homey was designed, so it could just replicate the outputted signal. It can read the frequency, so it should be able to pick up and copy the signal, no?

Edit: I wanted to up vote the request, but it seems you have to register yet again. So I'll just leave it as is then :/

That will work in the future... Or someone has to make an app first...

    See here...
  • Although record and replay is done sometimes for IR afaik it is much more complex for the many different implementations of RF 433 MHz as I understood.
As you see enabling many different 433 protocols on fe the RFXcom decreases the sensitivity / range for other 433 protocols.
If it would work with record and replay it would be great, but I hope for a HomeEasy app soon...
