Unable to add a Fibaro Motion Sensor

p0ntsp0nts Member
Anyone else having problems? I am unable to add a new Fibaro Motion Sensor I've just purchased, im on the experimental firmware.

"Het Z-Wave apparaat kon niet geanalyseerd worden. Het apparaat is toegevoegd als standaard apparaat met aan/uit functionaliteit."

Tried a couple times, nothing changes.

So, what wake up interval and polling interval should I configure on a motion sensor?
  • Did u indeed check the link above from @BasVanDenBosch ?

I've read it, its clear now.

the only thing i dont understand is the wake up interval and the polling interval.

Is the wake up interval (every 2 hours) a "hey homey i am still here, here are all the sensor values, im gone sleeping again"

and the polling time can be changed to x seconds which will make homey poll this device every x seconds?

Yes that is exactly what the options (should) do.

It is not recommended to put the wake up interval under half an hour (1800 sec.) though.

And I don't think the Polling does anything with battery devices because the sensor is asleep.

    allright, thank you!

I have a flow that turns on my lights as soon as the luminance is at a certain point, which interval's would be the best for this?

With the polling Homey does, will it retrieve the luminance value as well? So setting that to 3 or 5 minutes would be a good option?

you shouldn't use polling for luminance. Please do a little reading on the forum, if you searched for polling it would have led you there...
