adding z-wave devices, homey put's in failed @ z-wave config

edited April 2016 in Archive
I'm trying to add a z-wave device to my homey.
I go to Devices - Add z-wave (Aeotec Smart Switch 6 as example) and the device is added.
But it's automatically add to the failed status in the z-wave config of the homey.

What do I wrong?
It's also with other z-wave products.

note: firmware version 0.8.30

  • I think this is an error in the UI only, instead of failed it should read "refresh" here imho as the function of the pulldown is to refresh an existing device whether it's in failed state or not...
  • Thanks Bas, It's only a extra feature if you have problems with z-wave devices?
    Should I do something with including/excluding for z-wave devices?

  • Inclusion en exclusion is about other controllers, you don't have to do anything about this if you don't have a homecentre or Vera. BTW, I only have one device since yesterday so I might be wrong...
  • @BasVanDenBosch ;
    you are correct about the "Inclusion" and "Exclusion" buttons.
    Theses are for adding(& removing) homey to an existing Z-Wave network (other controller) as a device.
