  • I would like a generic 433 record and play function as well. I have a pretty old school garage door with 433Mhz receiver. Would hate to convert that to somfy while Homey is perfectly capable of sending the required signal.
  • I just seem to have hit the same bug on 0.8.29 when installing a fresh homey at my parents... If that is at all possible. Edit: it doesn't even start to download the app (no blue led ring).
  • I would really hope so. My Homey seems to work quite well ok the Action, Kaku, Hue and Somfy stuff which means its already a great improvement to my home. However I am hitting a bug where I can't install any apps, which is really annoying. This bug …
  • Thanks Werner did all of the above. Can you tell me if the led stays red for about 10 minutes in your case as well? I add the sensor, the interview is successful, the device is added. At that point I add 121,1,256 in the parameters. At that point th…
  • Would anyone be so kind to provide a step by step guide? Some basics don't seem clear to me at this point. Like are you adding it as a sensor or as a button? I am setting the parameters, but I can't seem to get it working...
  • Install the Hue app and add a device. Select Philips Hue and follow the instructions. https://apps.athom.com/app/nl.philips.hue
  • I just tested my D8000 briefly with an app on my iPhone (SamRemote), and it is able to control it through the network. So there is at least some kind of API. Not sure if this is a very simple (barely usable) API which is just ok to build a remote, o…

  • @wingie https://apps.athom.com/app/it.diederik.wol I am using it and works great.
  • Ladies and gentlemen.... We got him! Now just waiting for his purpleness to turn to another color and get started. Wi-Fi took a couple of goes, but succeeded after 3 or 4 times. There goes productivity for the next few hours (days, weeks). #workinga…
  • I would like to use the same feature when turning the bulb's on. In order to create a wake-up light. I would also like to color shift. Start with deep red on say 30% and scale up to light yellow on 100% in say 30 minutes or so.
  • Stefan said: * Purple - Homey is updating itself at the moment, or is powered on upside down (turn it off and turn it on when upright). What do we do if gravity fails? How am I to use Homey in the ISS? Or how does it handle the 38% relati…

  • The way I see it, it is purely managing expectations. If you would like to receive your pre-order earlier (like me) you should expect it to be more buggy than you might if you wait until the "official" release.

  • Unfortunately I am already stuck with several Samsung (smart) TV's. Any chance someone is going to attempt to write an app for that anyway? My primary concern is changing the input source, tv channel and volume. (in that order)
  • brinkie said: woei said: Not to get to specific, but could we also have an "x minutes before first appointment of the day' ? :-) That would be my alarm clock function right there... Do you mean you would like to create an a…

  • I think a x minutes before next appointment card would be useful. For example to remind you of an appointment or to use it as an input for an alarm clock. It would be even more awesome if it could do it based on the appointment location and travel d…
  • Anyone got some feedback for me on battery life of those gen 6 Aeon's? The website claims up to 2 years. I'm fine with even changing them twice a year, but I am really sceptical about their real world performance.
  • FYI, I have been inquiring about API support for Nefit Easy this week. This because my current boiler only supports iRT for modulating. No OpenTherm bridge/convertor is available for iRT (Nefit proprietary modulating protocol). Nefit Easy DOES suppo…
  • RobertLijkendijk said: Very awesome!! Perhaps it's nice if Homey also confirms the command by voice?   I guess you could just throw a speech output card in the flow? No need to integrate in the app right?
  • I am curious about this as well. Most of my shutters are Somfy RTS. But a couple of them are 433.92 Mhz programmable. If I can't learn a signal, can I at leest send a custom one? I can get the shutters to learn them.
  • I agree. As much as I would love to hold my Homey, you can't ignore the fact that its a difficult process to manufacture a brand new product. As long as I get the feeling the Athom team is doing all they can to (responsibly) release the Homeys to th…
  • Can I use these in my traditional set up to heat up the bathroom in the morning via Homey? I do understand the CV must be running. But is it feasible to change the setpoint twice a day (say 15 degrees by default, 20 degrees 30 minutes before my alar…
  • I use an iOS app, "Buy me a pie" which has a syncronize function for shopping lists. Would be great if it would be something like this. That way, i can sync the shoppinglist with Homey, myself and the GF.
  • Thanks D, that does look like it covers some ground indeed. It doesn't seem there are any efforts yet to build an app for this yet though. Also, it seems limited to forecasts and temperatures judging the api page. I would like to be able to gather r…
  • Also think about using the average of multiple streams for accuracy, reliability and making it more tamper proof. There are more possibilities than just temperature or wind speed. Think about twilight sensors for detecting when it gets dark outside …
  • You have to be very silent when approaching the table. Otherwise they will start responding and become aware of each other. Once this happens they will start communicating and create a general combined awareness. Before you know it they will be plot…
  • I am also looking into this. One of the things I keep reading about, is the fact the Danfoss thermostatknobs can't report the current room temp. So the only way this will work is if you have a thermostat in each room coupled with the knob (as I curr…
