I think you only use the settings part of the onkyo. Try dragging your onkyo to the 'action' part of a flow, then you will see you can do much more!

Actually, you need to do a lot to get this app working... the Athom webhook client ID and secret, and Telegram token are all "hidden" on Github (Not uploaded at all). When I add the app to the app store, I will have to enter these details into the a…

Got it working with custom bots, including the description. Next thing is that I need to make sure that you can 'unregister' from the bot from the settings page, I'm already half way there. But it will be a lot of testing still. I expect to be abl…

The webhook is the best way for 'immediate action'. For example: If I need to know which messages were received, I would need to 'poll' Telegram: https://api.telegram.org/bot/getUpdates I could do that every x seconds from Homey, for example every …

I'll think about it! I think this way is the easiest way for users, but I think I'll create an 'advanced option' so you can enter the bot ID of your own bot. It's not that hard to create it I think. Just have to keep in mind that you will need to se…

No, I decided to make one bot for all users. Which means less work for users to setup. But I needed to find a way to connect a user ID on telegram to a Homey. So by setting up a unique ID on Homey, and then 'registering' that ID on the chat, that i…

Got working on this already. Not completely sure yet where to go, but for now I have this: - The app on Homey sets up a unique identification key. - You need to add the bot and send a message (for example, /register uniquekey12345) to the bot to re…

Nice that you figured it out yourself... was already looking through a part of the code regarding the port but didn't see anything weird in there. I'll add enable/disable to my todo list!

@spoelly there are multiple standby settings possible on Onkyo receivers I believe. One is a 'deep' standby that means that there are no possibilities for waking up using internet. That is probably what your receiver is set to. Another has network a…

@aloft please try running in "developer mode" (see http://developers.athom.com) and let me know how the logs you see in commandline turn out.
-
That will probably be the reason. The app starts a connection with the receiver once it starts running (the app, that is, not the receiver). When the connection is 'cut' by cutting off the power, it will probably not automaticly restart the connecti…

Debugging using the athom developers tool would be a great source to find out more. It might also help to delete the devices, stop the app, start the app and then add the device again. In older versions of the app, the devices were created in an in…

I don't think it was intentionally, it was just something that broke because of an update. And I understand that it is probably too much work to go back to the previous version, fix the broken code, release an update while they are probably already …

@Vonkenboer thanks, that indeed is all I need in a nutshell I could even generate webhooks, so it connects to the Athom webhook and we would only need one bot to access all Homeys.. Now just need some ideas of use cases.

Looking at it now, I think I didn't want to create a bot... but an application instead, so you can send messages to Telegram from Homey. But since that's also possible using the Homey app, I didn't proceed after the website of Telegram failed me A…

I have almost no experience with Telegram, but looked into this. Was looking into a way to have Homey report stuff to me or execute stuff by sending commands using Telegram. However, the creation of a bot on the website of Telegram failed when I tr…

What did you use as a trigger? Sometimes the connection Homey <---> Synology doesn't do what it should do. The commands generate an error in Synology. I blame Synology for this.

Even palm trees! Man you live like you're on vacation

Yeah I love this too... even though, in my opinion, the Homey app for Android / IOS should be capable of doing this. But hey, Athom is busy on a lot of fronts so if you can make this work, I say: why not! The http://carmelarad.com/homey.html link is…

I'm a bit busy currently with my work and stuff... but had a look at the PHP scripts that @phil_s sent and that seemed to work for him. It's a completely different type of protocol, or so it seems, but the functionality seems to be the same. If all…

@Oskar I get the picture via the API, so it is encoded as text. To my surprise, that worked, and I was able to pass it to the e-mail. I think that it is not possible to do the same with video, but I might test it in a few days.

The difference between 2 and 3 lux is very small... I used to have it make the lights go on at < 25 lux but didn't yet find that the perfect number. Besides, by turning on the lights it will make the lux bigger... did you make a way around that?

I like it! Not sure yet what to use it for... but it's very interesting.

Submitted to the app store now for approval!
-
I ordered 6 of them, will make sure to create a Homey app as well
-
I have one error that sometimes occurs that I have to fix, which makes the app crash. Hope to have time this week for another small update.
-
@Julian Good to hear!
-
Please send it to jorden@chamid.nl and I will have a look!

You might have to change the flow, and select the TV input again. That should work though.

Developer documentation for 433 & 868 within a few weeks, said by Emile yesterday on the developer slack channel.
