Awesome, guys

The image grabber converts it to a base64 encoded string in memory (in the token). It seems to be okay looking at that URL. But it also seems that the URL is generated "on the fly", probably by loading a snapshot.cgi (or something similar). The imag…
-
E-mail app on Github has been updated to support these image tokens as well (use the new action card "Send image token", don't put any other text in the message body). Submitted for approval in the appstore.
-
@Fire69 it could also be that your image is not a JPG file. The Telegram app expects JPG files.
-
That's strange indeed. Probably the grabbing works well, but the sending in Telegram has problems. Does the URL provided only have an image, or is a HTML page that loads the image? (If you open it in your browser, is there a "view source" button or…

For those of you that buy second-hand Neo-z-wave devices, like me.... you need to reset the device first before you can connect it with the triple button press. I bought a set of door sensors and was getting frustrated that they didn't get recognis…

That string seems to be quite alright, it should be a base64 encoded string. It might be a little too short if that's all of it (it doesn't decode well). Is it a http:// or https:// URL?
-
@PBaan93 I love that! It looks like you made it part of your existing bathroom furniture. Is that complete right mirror the screen, how did you do it?
-
You can (probably) find the URL at https://www.ispyconnect.com/man.aspx?n=Hikvision (it depends on the camera type). Then use that URL with https://apps.athom.com/app/image.grabber
-
@Veldkornet I'll look into it soon! @Justjomi it should work with Synology, but Synology is very slow and sometimes refuses to take a snapshot. It works better if your camera has a (fast) snapshot function and if you paste the URL of the snapshot …

@nklerk thanks for your answer, good to know that the foil isn't a very good solution. @JaapPelt that's also quite cool! Any experiences with that? It's (also) supported on Linux but I wonder if it's hard to make it work on a Raspberry Pi running R…
-
Yeah that default certificate will probably generate an error. I will look into it when I have the time!
-
@nklerk also wondering about this. I have a 24" monitor lying around that I don't use and I love this futuristic idea. Did you finish yours, are you happy, do you miss anything, would you do it again? Would it work with the foil on a touchscreen, …
-
@Veldkornet those flows are correct, but Synology sometimes refuses to do this. The Synology snapshot function is also a LOT slower than direct snapshotting from the camera with the image grabber, but not all cameras support that (I have one that do…

Thanks! If you want me to run a version from CLI to check the logs or something, let me know. You probably already received an error log from Athom, mine crashed after a few tries.
-
I will check that when I get the time! Is it a https with a valid certificate or with an invalid one? Does the app provide an error? I can probably work around it by setting a parameter.
-
@Robinjo I just wanted to post the same message. I suffer from this as well. It will not play at all.
-
@EvertorN That is also something that I am looking for. But I think Athom needs to do that. Currently the Spotify IOS-app is able to do that, probably Android as well. Would be great if Athom would build that into the Sonos app for Homey as well.
-
@glijie Thanks a lot! I've now updated it on d2c as well, you were too quick
-
Please note that if you install the Telegram app from Github, only sending will work, your messages from Telegram will not be sent to Homey. That will only work with the latest version once it is approved by Athom.
-
@Eternity e-mail app won't support it yet, not sure if you are using the snapshot token there as well. Best is to add a spoken confirmation to the second flow, so you know if the error is in the Telegram app or in the Synology app. Synology sometime…
-
@2Be thanks, I will spend it wisely Hope the app gets approved soon!
-
Thanks, that seems to be a good update. I'll update the app in the app store accordingly.
-
It's probably not going to work. It probably works on IR, which doesn't work so well with Homey with normal IR transmitters... and those air conditioners use a special form of IR that also transmits the temperature etc, which is even more unlikely t…

I don't use the speech much, it is an awesome device even without speech.

LOL thanks senor, your comment makes my day

Just installed RC12 and was happy to find out that the KAKU range seems to have improved. I can finally use my "KlikAanKlikUit (KAKU) schakelaar" from inside the bathroom. Previously it only worked in my living room. Yay! Going to use it to control …

@Veldkornet you will love this update that is coming up soon (your point 2). Point 1 I will still have to take a look at.

Version 1.2.5 was submitted to the app store for approval. This one makes it possible to create a new action "Take snapshot as token". It takes a snapshot, and then triggers the new "A snapshot was taken" card which has a token "snapshot" that cont…

Update 0.1.5 coming up soon (submitted to the app store for approval). It contains a new "Send image" action card that allows you to drop an "Image token" into it. That image token can be generated by the new Synology app (coming up soon, also subm…
