Comment #1000. The most `popular` topic. Sorry I could not resist.

How about this: http://remote.sevenhugs.com/

JohanKuster said: The part I do not understand is why can't they ship the Homey's that have been assembled already? Because there are no fully assembled and flashed Homeys. They don`t want to pay for the labour until the flashing process is…

Yes Indeed it should of been communicated much earlier. Don`t always need to wait till the frustration reaches high levels. And please don`t miscommunicate: "We produce as fast as we can" (while there is no production).

I thought that they are progressing well when they have announced that they have ordered 1000 pcs of RaspberryPi. That was in 2014.
-
How many has been manufactured? Will you do part delivery?
-
So there are no major software issues apart of the expected ones. The 30 pcs/h flashing wont cause production issue at this stage if they work 8 hours a day, 5 days a weak. Otherwise it is a resource issue. So can we get back to the topic: * Did Gl…

@kasteleman We are talking about two different thing. The guys have good experience in programming. Those will be fixed relatively quickly. Part delivery would be absolutely sensible.
-
Marco, surely these issues will be fixed before your homey would be `due`. The 500pcs/week production is one of the wildest guess, estimated before the production has started. All `predictions` were well off the reality why does it bother anyone to …
-
It is definitely nowhere close to 500 pieces/week. When was that when the first batch came of the production line? Ohh yes the production speed matters. If they do 50 pcs / week the new preorders can hope to get their before Christmas. Also fixing t…

@MarcoF You are right about the not so Geeks. However this should not affect the hardware production. They might wish to postpone the shipping resulting a bigger combined batch but the production should be on track. @kastleman Issues will always wi…

Happy that someone raised the question before the `predicted` date. The tendency used to be that people started asking these on the date. Than a not too painful relatively near future date has been thrown-in and everybody was happy and silenced …

The texting ability of the SIP is secondary. True that it`s easyer to implement an SMS function. The main point is the phone call. There are 3 points why that has firm advantage over other notification services: * Persistent. While SMS trigger a br…

You are right emergency services are not dealing with automated services unless they are contracted to do so. That is why I haven`t mention it. But it could contact to people who know about that you have such system: relatives, friends, site manager…

No need to wait till the launch of the new site as wiki is an independent package uses it`s own database and installed separately. Probably it would have an address like wiki.athom.com. It is dead simple to install and quite quick. I was also thinki…

Yes it has line out. It will also have an "internet radio" function so you can connect to that. I also have a network connected Hi-Fi, a Philips MCI900 but it comes with a fix list of internet radio stations so I am doomed. The line in is already in…

I found this funny: http://www.robbshop.nl/manufacturers/homey-uk Already out of stock? It was surely a limited edition. And why is it called Homey UK...
-
What a deal! Thanks for sharing it. Maybe there should be a section on this forum for sharing such things. Unfortunately they deliver only in Germany, Austria and Netherlands.

Food and Drug Administration? The bottom compartment of homey can hide medicines. And the casing is edible. Did you mean UL?

It is absolutely your choice if you want to use the app outside of your house. It`s not a Homey specific thing, all HA controller with mobile app needs internet connection. In fact homey is smart as it wont use the internet if you use your app with …

You need internet connection for: Software updates Using the mobile app when away from home IFTTT Some wifi/bridge based devices

Thanks Marko for your comment and for the picture you have posted. Looks really awesome! Seems like you have the perfect arrangement, the sort of I was talking about as you home sits behind front plane of the TV and don`t have direct view on you DVD…
-
That`s all right, completely understand. I thought it is worth to raise the question. Thank you for getting back to me.

@Fire69 Thank you. Actually I had a similar idea to mount the IR blaster aka Hub under the shelf facing down ward. Shelf is already overcrowded don`t wish to have it on the top. The pack comes with a miniblaster and could place it somewhere on the …
-
Yes I know the video. But please consider that the ring has a tilt and the guys climbed up to a gallery so that could mean that Homey has a very tight beam. In this way Homey could have a direct view on the TV: Of course it was a prototype an…

Something like this could be the best solution:

It is 3 years old but I think they still would like to achieve this, if not more:
