The plex android app works very differently than the Homey app..
-
Actually, if you don't mind, copy & paste the entire XML node with your server, just remove (or xxxxx) the machineIdentifier attribute.
-
Okay @MennoVanGrinsven , open a browser tab, visit plex.tv and login. Then, open another tab and open https://plex.tv/pms/servers.xml - look for your own server (it might also show shared servers) and report back the port it shows there.
-
Thanks @MennoVanGrinsven, now we're getting somewhere! The port is a good catch! The app gets this connection information directly from Plex.tv. At the moment, you cannot manually change it from the app, however, I'm completely rewritting the settin…
-
Okay @MennoVanGrinsven, what do you see in the console output when you run plex from ahtom-cli?
-
You won't actually see any of the scanning @phil_s do you have a chromecast installed via the devices screen (a plex chromecast device btw, not via the chromecast app)? if so, you should see the plex chromecast in the flow screen as device (left c…
-
Well.. You can by installing via athom-cli @MennoVanGrinsven
-
That actually looks pretty good @phil_s. And no media found as well?
-
Okay, that can't be an issue. Tested on 5000 media items..
-
Okay, so how many movies?
-
So movies and series combined
-
Oh sorry I wasn't clear, I mean the (approx) number of media items..
-
I think, for now (until I can finish the new version of the app) - the only way I can help you guys that suffer from no media, is for you to pull the latest version from Github and use Athom-cli to put it on your Homey. Than we have full debug avail…

right, I'm on .35 now. Still works fine here. I am seeing a --- WARNING: nl.kikkert.plex HAS RECEIVED A CPUWARN (1/15) --- in my console. Never seen that before so I asked @Emile what exactly that means. How large is your PMS library @MennoVanGri…
-
Thanks! It's installing now..
-
Hmm.. not sure how to force that update. I set my Homey to experimental now and rebooted.. But I'm still on 32
-
Check. Maybe there is an issue there. Let me try if I can force my Homey to get that update...
-
Do you have homey experimental updates switched on? Not sure why my Homey is still on 32..
-
I'm running Homey 0.8.32 and PMS 0.9.16.6 (On MacOSX) - everything still seems to work fine here..
-
What PMS version en Homey version or you guys running? And what is the PMS running on? Mac? Windows? Linux?
-
This is strange, there haven't been any new Homey Plex app releases from my side. Maybe there has been either a Homey update or a PMS update that is causing issues.. My local version works fine up till now. I'm currently working on an update versi…
-
Once you have a selected server it should automatically scan your media..
-
You mean for flows? With voice you can already target any player
-
You need to install a device (ie player)? did you go through the installation steps (first post in this thread)?
-
BY the way guys, I'm extremely busy this week so apologies for not responding much. Personal circumstances are taking up all of my time at the moment. I hope to pick up these issues from halfway next week. My plan is to make a release that gives a l…
-
Not sure what you mean @MarkSwift
-
It is on my list @Bumblez !
-
In that case, you could install the app directly via athom-cli (get a clone from github). That will give you console output, maybe that will tell us something. If you get that to work, you can also get newer versions on your homey much quicker as …
-
Hmmm... this is probably a red herring now I think about it.. You can see your media and that uses the same IP so it can't be this almost (unless loopback does something weird..) How handy are you with athom-cli and github? maybe even with NodeJS?
-
The question is, does PMS see both interfaces maybe? login to plex.tv and visit https://plex.tv/devices.xml Search for your (active) PMS and check which Connection URI's it shows. If it also shows the inactive interface, we might have a winner...
