Should be possible, as one of the examples is "hey Homey, turn the thermostat to 20 degrees"
-
Cool, thanks and have fun!

Interesting question about the multiple presses. I'm sure homey should be able to do multiple actions in one flow. Do you need the ability to specify a different number of button presses every time or is it a one time programming action? I suppose y…

Just received a heads-up to check my delivery address

Looks like two (identical?) IR LEDs so transmit from the remote and not receive at the remote. See also: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Remote-Control-for-CHUWI-V3-iLife-V3-Robot-Vacuum-Cleaner-Robotic-Vacuum-Cleaner-for-Home/1090424_323307…

Happy Homey-release-year

Most likely they will, however I have a cheap RGB led strip with IR control (from a Kruidvat store) and it sometimes also responds to my Humax PVR remote (overlapping IR codes?)
-
I would think that should work, as a wireless doorbell button is a working input to Homey and it can also output sound. It could also flash lights for you if you have Hue or a remote controlled switch...
-
Nice! I wasn't even aware that you can add non-Philips lamps to the Hue bridge and use them with the API. I do have a mix of Livingcolors, Livingwhites, Hue and Hue Lux connected. Most of my lights are now Hue controlled.

Good catch, rework is a pain... geduldige.mensen.club is up :-)

Will do.

Yes I'm willing to help adding commands that don't work on my own receiver

I have a Marantz (NR1604 if I recall correctly) and will be adding it to Homey if nobody beats me to it. AFAIK Marantz and Denon use similar IP connected interfaces
-
So with a little bit of luck, I won't be home alone at Christmas ;-)

/me feels like it's almost Sinterklaas

I think my empty tubes already have had a wire run through it by the builders. That should make it possible to tie a cable at one and and pull the whole thing through.
-
Wired Connections in different places, like opposite walls. And I would also think running Cat 5e or Cat 6 (Ethernet) cable wherever possible is better than relying on WiFi
-
I think that's correct. Your LoRaWAN 'thing' needs to be in reach of a LoRaWAN router, then you somehow receive the message through the regular Internet and of course Homey can be made aware of the message. So Homey doesn't need to be LoRaWAN capabl…

Indeed, most Fritz!Boxes (routers) have DECT capability so they might be used as IP (Wifi/Ethernet) to DECT gateway. The Fritz!Dect 200 is DECT-only and I highly doubt that Homey can talk DECT directly.
-
I didn't know there was DECT for home automation, always thought it was for limited range wireless telephony only. I suppose Homey doesn't support DECT by itself.
-
Oh yes I'd love to have a slightly 'broken' Homey next to a proper production one. But I don't think there will be many and Athom might put them to good use themselves. Good to hear they have a fix though. Wondering about the current shipping date e…

Good IR range (and angle) is important to allow for convenient placement of Homey so I hope range will be better than a regular remote...

Exciting days, indeed! Hey Homey, let me know when Emile has spoken again
-
Just a heads up that Philips have announced a new version of the bridge to be Apple HomeKit compatible. I don't know the details yet but I read on Twitter that an upgrade deal will be available starting this November.

Thanks for the update. I guess a web interface will be just fine for configuration, and I expect to have most actions done either without user input or by using voice (really looking forward to trying that!)
