C'mon. This is software, not hardware.... So comparing apples to pears. When you want to add support for Z-wave, zigbee, IR, bluetooth, 866, KlikAanKlikUit, etc you need hubs or transceivers. Which cost money. Which Homey has integrated in 1 orb.…

@DaneeDeKruyff I would like to somehow let Homey interact with LoRaWAN so that the input signals of their nodes or any other sensor working on large distance and can be included in Homey scenes. I guess I'll need their gateway then as well?

@moek All in all one could better buy a Fakro Window opener, based on z-wave. It costs 250 euro but that's it. No fibaro switch, external power unit and wall switch needed anymore. Not to say the time/effort for soldering this hand made solution.

THanks Lesley, for your input. Controlling Axa remote by Z-wave was not really my intention (although could be lot more handy than by IR because IR needs line of sight). But I agree that hopefully I can let Homey 'learn' the IR code of Axa.

By the way, @Emile, you mentioned before in this thread that you 'will be looking into supporting IR-repeaters'. Do you expect this to be the case for the out-of-the-box version of Homey that will be shipped to the backers?
