  • Yep, that's exactly what I see. It's trying to connect to Homey with my internal IP address, so it can't get a connection, and because of that, it reports Homey as being "offline".
  • It also depends on how many Homeys are shipped in this batch. I believe that the batch that my Homey was in, was quite large, and it took PostNL 3 days to deliver my package. So either way, you should have your Homey by the weekend.
  • Strange... so it's not a global issue. Are you both also using Chrome on a Windows PC, or on a Mac? I'm running Chrome on Windows 7, from my PC at the office. Which is also why I have no idea how this could be a DNS-caching issue. I'm at work, on t…
  • What would be that 0,1643 Homey? A spare LED ring?
  • I think the main advantage of Google vs Athom, is the large amount of money, resources and advertising they can throw at it. So Athom will have to do their best to keep up the development...

  • Maybe @Emile can explain this particular section of their privacy statement, and elaborate on exactly what does and doesn't go through Athom's servers?

  • MarcoF said: Click command: if you use the App to give your Homey a command, this command will be led to your Homey via Athom's servers. Homey will then execute the command. ? Upon reading this again, you're right. I initially thought t…

  • Although this is definitely useful for the app developers, I also find it creepy... I wonder what other data is sent to Athom that they didn't tell us about. This is definitely not in line with what they claim in their privacy statement (and these l…

  • They receive crash reports from their apps on my Homey?
in 0.8.34 Comment by Bumblez May 2016
  • @Emile This would be great, if we could access the crash logs and tell the developer why that specific app crashed. Any chance of this functionality becoming available to us?

  • Would be nice if we could disable the new App Watchdog, to test if it's the watchdog that kills these apps (which is what I believe), or if EvertorN is right and the apps crash just as much as before, they just don't get automatically restarted anym…

  • If you're forced to delay stuff to make it work, that means response from Homey to triggers could get quite a bit slower... if even simple requests like the ones you describe are already forced to have delays, then I wonder how people can ever creat…

  • Quite a few apps have crashes (kills), since Athom introduced their App Watchdog in 0.8.34. I've been running the Harmony app without any problems for a long time, but in 0.8.34 it crashes (is killed) every time. Could it be their conditions for ter…

  • You could try slightly different spellings... maybe that will improve the pronunciation. For example, try writing "lecker" instead of "lekker", to test if that makes a difference...
  • Although I appreciate the effort, I would never dream of using this. Given that hackers were even able to hack the SWIFT system and digitally rob several banks, I'm sure they would have no problems getting through the loopholes/bugs in the system to…
  • cool, looking forward to it... even though I know it's probably still quite a while before you get around to this.
  • How hard would it be to add support for LG's ConnectSDK interface? That would mean support for quite a few extra devices all in one go... Their SDK is available for Apache Cordova, which is open source and based on Node.js, so it does seem like it s…

  • Could it be that it's the new App Watchdog that Athom added, that kills the app? "Added an App watchdog that kills apps abusing system resources"
  • I understand that you're frustrated. That happens with a beta product, which Homey still is. Athom are trying very hard, and making improvements all the time, but you're right... specific issues may still take a while before they get fixed. See the…

  • If you really, really need to revert, you'll have to contact Athom at the  Support email address. Emile said about this procedure: Please do not use this procedure without us telling you to. Or you could just report the issues that you find on G…
  • @Emile I absolutely love the amount of information provided in this week's software status update. Thank you for listening to the requests for this kind of information! This gives us Homey users a much better understanding of what's going on behind …
  • Also relevant for this Friday thread, is the new 'software update thread'
  • https://forum.athom.com/discussion/1430/software-status#latest "Every Friday a summary of that week will be posted here." Excellent! I hope that will include the progress made (or challenges encountered) during that week (even when there is no sof…
  • Yeah, I know how important documentation is, I was only kidding (in reply to jorden's 3 minutes joke) Though I have to say, a good programmer could get quite a bit done by reverse engineering the code that superice writes...
  • @jorden Who said anything about documentation? Writing the documentation will be done AFTER all the other remaining issues are fixed
  • Okay, we'll see how it goes. I definitely prefer to get the more pessimistic estimate and be pleasantly surprised to find it finished sooner, to getting an optimistic estimate and then having to accept several delays...
  • Yeah, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.  Unfortunately, that does mean that IR improvements are at least a month away... I too wish you could clone yourself
