In the very first demo with Stefan it responded a lot quicker Maybe that one was played with double speed? Normally Stefan's voice is also MUCH lower. ;-)

Using Vera Edge with Philips Hue's in my living room is as-slow, sometimes even slower. And that's not even voicetriggered, but switch-triggered. From the Philips Hue app itself it's much faster. So I imagine Homey will be much faster than the Vera …

@TheoDeKoning: Thx for thinking along! Very nice. I'm wondering if it'll be possible to do this with Homey without scripting. To me it seems like an elementary Lego element in Homey if they really want to surpass the nerdy-level of all other Domotic…

If the BBQ is vegetarian enough, I'll be joining in. I'll be driving to Enschede from Eindhoven. So if anyone wants to tag along, you could drive with me.

It is supported. In one of the video's you can see Stefan adding a Kaku device to Homey. As to what devices are best, I wouldn't know. I really don't like Kaku, because they use a one-way protocol, without confirmations. But maybe someone else can t…

#1 - But that's different from a length-of-time in the trigger. :-) Having a temperature trigger that says if temperature is 5 minutes below X, is different from do something 5 minutes after the temperature is below X. The first measures the time o…

My smartwatch records voice. I'd want to pass it with as little as possible (even remote) processing to Homey. That was the original idea.

Nice thinking, at least. Thx!

Thanx MarcoF. Very helpful. I want to be able to implement 10+ houses with such set-ups, all with very different conditions, and very little time to implement ~40 devices. I'm hoping for the same as you with Homey. I'll be patient and wait for it fo…

Thx for the reply and the reference to ROBBshop. I read their set-up. I'm not succeeding in making myself clear to you. You say it's possible in the Vera to trigger if humidity IS below 60%. That's NOT possible. It is however possible to trigger if …

Thx MarcoF! Ah, the question was not how to detect who takes a shower, the question is about the trigger OFF, is it possible in Homey to trigger on something being below a value for a certain time. Vera doesn't support that and only support the TRAN…

Love the (yet) Emile! Is there a time frame on insteon set up please? "How far away"- the range in which homey will pick up your voice. We all love Emile, no shame in that. ;-)

@Emile: A random time-delay function for ANY scene/trigger/action would be really nice. 2cts

Thx Marco and Theo!

http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=&SearchText=googly+eyes Ah, you already ordered them. Very well!

If you DO provide small Homey's, consider also supplying stickers/labels with friendly eyes printed on them to put on them. :-)

((Sorry for the empty posts. Something went horribly wrong here.)) Sunrise / sunset would be a nice feature but not mandatory at the first release I think. And like Emile said, build a nice case and I bet the community will write a plugin/app to d…

You have been asking MANY features as must have in your eyes? So what's the difference with me? I feel this is a must have for my situation :-) And I can't imagine most other systems (Fibaro etc.) don't have this. Examples?... My point wás tha…

I for one have been asking MANY features as must have in my eyes, or even from a commercially perspective. However, I respect very much the considerations of Emile and Stefan for their choices on what's mainstream in their eyes or not. My suggestion…

Emile, is it possible to switch mode/condition (like home/away) from within a scene? That would make it powerfull to use any kind of signaling to switch modes. Proximity sensors, RFID scanning, smart camera which recognizes people?

I saw you in some restaurant relaxing Emile, wrong, wrong, wrong. You should be slaving like a dog to get it all finished! Heh, heh, heh....

+1 It sounds more reasonable to let external devices do as much of the playing/streaming as possible, and not THROUGH Homey, except for the things Homey wants to tell you through these speakers.
-
It would be a wonderful addition for the elderly too.
-
Well... It also depends on the wavelengths in nm that the IR module of Homey supports, I suppose. But I assume it'll work and hardware is well chosen.
-
So JaapPelt...there is only one conclusion...it's all a matter of perception. ;-) Sorry...
-
@MarcoF: Also not for the mentioned topic? I didn't mention the slowness on my side, because I thought (and still think I guess) it's due to some plugin in Chrome here...

So you'd connect to Sonos, command it to listen to the 'stream', them transmit over the stream the audio? How do you handle it when Sonos is already playing something? Ideally you'd fade out/in and switch station in between, however, with filling it…
