Shelly, a new device, who makes an App?

JPeJPe Member
Found a new device, something like SonOff, but can easily be built in, in European wall boxes.

Someone willing to build an App for this or integrate it in an existing App?

  • Looks interesting, I ordered one.

    If I'm gonna put it to good use and I like how it works I will probably make an app for it (if I can find the time).

    Looks good, what I miss in the specs is: can it operate LED lights?
    there is no minimal load specified and max is pretty high (often does not go with small loads)

    Can you test that too?

    It has a relay contact as output, so no minimum load.
  • Shelly1 comes with a programming/debug header which can be used to flash alternative firmwares on the device. It has an ESP8266 inside, with a 2MB flash chip. A USB-to-UART adapter is needed as well as a reliable 3.3V with at least 350 mA drive capability. The following diagram shows the device pinout and power source voltage selection jumper
    wouldn't this work with the tasmoto FW?

    I was thinking the same (but for ESPurna or ESPEasy) but not a lot seems to be known about the Shelly relay devices.

    Here is a github issue that discusses support: https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota/issues/2789

    If it works with Tasmota, probably the App https://apps.athom.com/app/name.klep.sonoff  can be used for it...
    @robertklep ; can you confirm?

    Probably not out of the box, but adding support for it would likely not be tóó hard. It all depends on how Tasmota would implement support for the device.
