In this thread (https://apps.athom.com/app/com.ikea.tradfriI) I found below. So it should give us atleast partial functionality. But like I said before I am unable to pair it, so I would love to know how they accomplished that.

  • Hi,
Initially I also had problems with connecting IKEA bulbs. I then realised it takes some time (more than 20s) in pairing mode before Homey responded to the bulb. Then I had my IKEA Trådfri bulbs working for a few days including Homey flows to set them on or off. Now they are not responding to Homey flows at all. They are still in the ZigBee network. As I can see they are not meshing at all. What might be the problem?
    Cheers!

Have you tried to restart your homey?

  • Yes, several times. Still have the same issue.
  • Hello,

Last week I recieved my new Homey. So far so good! Only thing I keep have troubles with is the warm white setting of the rgb tradfri lamps.
Is it possible to "reset" them to warm white? I seen the question on a previous page, but no answer.
    Thanks in advance!

Just a practical experience when installing Tradfri GU10 dimmable leds (type 003.182.92). I bought 3 to put together into one “standup” lamp body (armature). Discovered that after placing all three in one time, only the first one will be connected to Homey. In that case Homey doesnot see the other two. Solution? Just place the leds one by one. When the first one is connected, take it out and put the second one at its final place, and so on. Final result is great!
I figured that out to. But in practice you want it to be just "one" lamp (both go on and off at the same time). How do you doo that? I hoped I could make some scene, ore connect them afterwards, but cannot find somethinh for it in Homey.
I only have the lights and the Homey.
    Any suggestions?
  • The pairing-prcedure is in the manual of Tradfi ;-)

https://apps.athom.com/app/com.swttt.devicegroups will work but may be sending to much signals at once. There is an open bug for using zigbee groups. If one of the grouped lights doesn't turn on you may want to put a delay switching the lights.

For me this work around does not seem to be working. When pairing my remote control with the bulb, which was already connected to my Homey, the connection to Homey gets lost. Anyone ideas on how to fix this in order to use the functionality of the remote control and keep connection with Homey?

After trying 5 times, it finally works. I don't know whether it makes a difference or not, but the last time I tried (when it finally worked), I connected the remote control with the bulb in a very short range from the Homey.
  • The above didn't work for me and afaik it's not possible (despite what's stated by Jan Vos). Maybe it was another combination of Ikea Firmware, Homey Firmware and Homey appversion?
  • Is there a way to set one lamp to act as a master and have others act as a slave?

    Hello everybody,

I have a single E27 100lm tradfri light that seems impossible to pair. I asked something about this bulb on the forum a few months ago before but still no succes. Yesterday I got a tradfri gateway so I could confirm / update the firmware. With this I've got the following info:

    Tradfri E27 1000lm 12.5w
    LED1623G12
    Ikea code 603.384.52
Build number 1732 (so yes lower than 1740) but firmware update should do the trick, right?
    Firmware 1.2.214

Can anyone confirm that this light should be compatible? As far as I can find it should be, but so far no succes. Pairing the bulb with the gateway worked just fine.

  • I have to delete and add my Ikea E27 lamp in Homey every 2 days or so. Very annoying. :s Does anyone know how to solve this?

Anyone any tips on resetting the color of an RGB bulb? Cant’t reset it to normal warm white, since 5 button remote is not (yet) supported.

works fine here. add bulbs to homey, add remote to homey as ZigBee device, take out and pop in battery should link it, walk around adding bulbs to the remote.

can't you just do it in the homey  app?

    of course!

The IKEA Trådfri outlet was discovered by a Dutch user, who published photos on Reddit. There are two versions: the cheapest version with product number 903.561.66 consists of a smart plug and costs 10 euros. There is also a set with product number 403.647.48, consisting of a smart plug with remote control. This costs 20 euros.
