Siemens/Bosch Home Connect in Europe available

Not only in the US, but in Europe it's also possible to buy home appliances like dishwashers, ovens to connect to via a WLAN/WiFi connection.

Might be interesting for some people to see if they can be access by Homey :)

    Hi all!
    The topic is quite old, but i'd like if home connect supporting machines can be controlled by Homey. Our new kitchen (installed in december of this year) will be swarmed with home connect appliences. I noticed that there's even going to be a home connect API: https://developer.home-connect.com/?q=docs/api/general/endpoints_dataencoding
    Some cool ideas can include letting Homey announce when the oven is pre-heated or when the dishwasher is ready.

    Even more interesting will be if the homeconnect API will include power management. For instance reducing the power of an induction cookingplate at moments ovens, quooker and heatpumps are all fired up as well. Hope Athom or anyone else is interested in making Homeconnect work with homey since i'm not really a programming-wizzard myself. ;-)
  • That should be possible right now I think, via the IFTTT  https://ifttt.com/hc_oven

    But, yes it would be better to have an app within Homey's appstore directly to it.

    Just changed apartments and remade the kitchen (and all outlets/switches). I got Siemens appliances with HomeConnect functionality but it seems to be lacking in functions (not thrue fault of Athom...).

    Sent this e-mail to the HomeConnect people just now:

    Good morning good people!

    I recently bought Siemens StudioLine home appliances with HomeConnect
    functionality. Since before I use a Homey Smart Home hub for remotely
    controlling my home, logging power usage, scheduling events etc.

    Now it seems I am lacking functions I need and I would just like to
    check with you regarding these.

    With the HomeConnect software for the Homey I get a few triggers for my
    oven and my also for my coffee maker (the rest of the appliances are
    not yet installed). These are for starting programs, either on oven or
    coffee maker.

    Aside from the Homey I use IFTTT, and with this these functions are the
    possible triggers (as far as I can tell):

    * Oven turned on
    This trigger fires every time your oven is turned on.

    * Oven turned off
    This trigger fires every time your oven is turned off.

    * Oven started
    This trigger fires every time your oven has started.

    * Oven finished
    This trigger fires every time your oven has finished successfully.

    * Oven clock timer elapsed
    This trigger fires every time the clock timer on your oven has elapsed.

    * Preheat temperature reached
    This trigger fires every time the preheating phase has finished.

    * Door opened
    This trigger fires every time your oven door has been opened.

    * Door closed
    This trigger fires every time your oven door has been closed.

    Aside from these (that seems rather basic) I would like to log specific
    programs started, log temperatures, if possible energy consumption, how
    many of types of coffees made (with water consumed, power, beans, times
    used, etc etc), oven door opened etc etc.

    Are there open API's for these events? Is there otherwise some way to
    access the information? How do others use it?

    I enjoy the app as it is functioning for me now, but it is also rather
    gimmicky. Remote starting the coffee maker and using it this way is
    not possible with having to put an empty cup there, and also with the
    rinsing of the machine at start up. Neither the functions for the oven
    as of now seem practical since you actually have to be there to put
    things in the oven to make us of the function for starting it (remote
    starting it for pre-heating is somewhat useful I guess, but since the
    oven is so quick to heat up it is still rather a "for show" function.

    Do you think you can point me in the right direction regarding these
    questions/opinions?

    My oven is a Siemens HN878G4B6B; the coffee maker a Siemens CT636LES1.
    The the rest are the corresponding ones (hob, dish washer). I got a
    Fjäråskupan Hood with bluetooth connectivity and assumed I could use
    the start of the Siemens hob as a trigger for starting the hood, but as
    of know I don't know if it is possible.

    Is there something you can tell me to enhance my experience?

    Ich freue mich von Ihnen zu hören. Ich wünsche dir einen schönen Tag!

    Mit freundlichen Grüßen,

    Johan Johansson, Sweden

    I figure I won't get a positive answer but figured I'd try. Is someone else trying to use HomeConnect (or use it) in a rewarding way? Is there any way to access some of these functions, either by way of extra software, service menus, or any other way?

    Sadly as of now the only function is seeing from work when my wife gets her first cup of coffee in the morning (I get a notification)....

    Have a nice saturday! :)

    I was a bit disappointed with the homey HOME CONNECT integration. All my kitchen appliances (Stovetop, Oven, Coffee Maschine, Dishwasher) have Home Connect. First of all, only the oven and coffee maker are supported. Second of all, there is nothing you can do with the integration.

    I would have loved to make a flow where the coffee maker gets turned on when I wake up, but turning it on isn't even possible. Even IF it were able to be turned on via homey I still couldn't have it make a cup of coffee because it rinses the system as soon as it turns on. (Yummy!)

    So at the moment there is absolutely nothing that I can do with homey and home connect.

    Bummer
  • We are planning to buy a new washer. Of course we are looking for one with a Bosch/Siemens home connect functionality. Is there somebody who has experience with a washer from Bosch/Siemens home connect and willing to share this? Maybe you can show some flowcards or flows?
