    Will a HTML widget be available in the future? To add embedded content.
  • swtttswttt Member
    @daand
    Good idea, could you create a github issue for that? Then i'll have a look at it.

    In the mean time i have been rewriting some parts to be Quasar V15 compatible (it was running V14).
    Allot of the issues should be fixed by then.

    I expect to build it this weekend for the beta.

    Soo... the beta is live and for now accessible for everyone at the moment: https://beta.homeyda.sh

    Most issues should be resolved, if you find any please create an issue on GitHub :smile:

    Another update on the beta branch.
    Fixed some minor issues like saving settings, switches from the switches list widget, scrolling devices and i might forget some.

    Other then that i improved WPA looks (at least on iOS) and added iPhone X support (again).

    The stable branche hasn't been update yet, but for testing and help finding bugs you could use the beta branch on https://beta.homeyda.sh

  • @swttt how can I donate some money one-off? Instead of a monthly donation?
    I'd like to support you but I'm not into monthly payments
  • swtttswttt Member
    Thanks, you could become a patron for just one month. They only charge at the first of the month, and you can cancel directly after the first charge.

    An other option would be PayPal directly :smile: https://www.paypal.me/BasJansen

    I wanted to donate a bit more than the one month donation :-)
    PayPal works

    New beta is published with 2 aproved PR's. https://beta.homeyda.sh
    Phuturist added a toggle button widget (with custom icons and colors!)
    And Evad improved the simple widget, where you now can center the text.

    I tried to fix the widgets displaying "over" each other. Seems like a dirty fix for now, but lets see if it fixes anything at all.

  • Would be nice if some sort of dimming function (slider) could be added. Then it would be a complete replacement for the old homeydash.
  • I second the request of Maurice_ot for a slider function.

    Separately, I have another request.
    I've come to notice that I currently still have to switch a lot between dashboard and devices.
    Would it not be possible to add selected devices to the dashboard?
    Just like they appear on the Devices tab?
  • Like the old homeydash will virtual Devices be available again on the beta?
  • swtttswttt Member
    @maurice_ot @mistaoutlaw
    feature requests like that fit better on on GitHub, this makes it more easy for me to keep track. I won't create the device on the dashboard like they show in the device tab, but will look into a way to add a dimmer to it.

    @funkyfish
    Virtual devices with the on/off class should work in the beta already. The button capability still needs to get added to the devices and dashboard pages.

    @swttt

    None of the virtual devices are visible under devices on the beta dashboard while they are visible within homey

    Thanks in advance!

  • @funkyfish

    Strange. I have also virtual devices which are shown under devices. So it seems to work ok.
    Did you try to empty the browser cache ?
  • @maurice_ot ; Jup cleared cache
    The virtual device are also not visible within the "toggle button" widget

    Versions of applicable software
    • Homey Firmware Versie: 1.5.8
    • Virtual Devices: v0.7.1
    • HomeyDash: v0.0.19
  • @swttt already mentioned why the on/off virtual devices are visible and the button virtual devices are not.

    The button capability still needs to get added to the devices and dashboard pages.

    Just be patient!

    I just submitted a PR to add the buttons to the toggle widget, your patience wont be challenged for too long.
  • @Phuturist
    Can I make a feature request for the Thermometer Widget?

    Is it possible to include the possibility to display Humidity if that is available on the selected sensor?

    Currently working on a dim widget but will look into this after that ...
  • What a great progress on this dashboard app.
    It becomes really really nice in a very fast way !
    Thanks !

    Had some nice discussion on Slack about storing the settings. So i decided to create a poll and see what comes from that: https://www.patreon.com/posts/17536588

    Any input is welcome!

    So some small last additions before i pushed beta to stable:
    - Dim widget (thanks to Phuturist)
    - Update to the toggle widget, this now supports the button class (thanks to Phuturist)
    - Device select inputs have a sublabel now with zone name

    Other then that i posted an update with some stats and things i will work on the upcoming weeks to Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/posts/beta-stable-17540940
  • The app is getting better and better! I only mis the option to control the Radiator valves.. Is this high on the priority list?
  • I've had some issues not being able to add widgets in chrome and firefox. This was due to a previous version of https://Homeyda.sh . Refreshing didn't work. What did work in chrome however was clearing the cache for a single page following http://www.thewindowsclub.com/clear-cache-cookies-specific-website  . In firefox this works by using https://superuser.com/questions/173210/how-can-i-clear-a-single-site-from-the-cache-in-firefox .

    After adding switches I needed to refresh the page to get the switches to work, they would only work once without a refresh.

    Realy looking great guys. Is there any possibility to ad an icon to the Dim Widget?
    Also any possibility to resize the clock and buienradar widget?

    It's looking awesome!
  • swtttswttt Member
    The build failed last night, and i didn't noticed (haven't set up a notification for the master branch or errors).
    Since the master branch was still on quasar 14 is needed to update the build flow. This works now, and a few minutes ago the build was finished.

    I figured the dim widget would probably be added together with a toggle widget of that same light and having another icon would be a bit to much. But if more people would like this it can easily be added in the future.
  • For me personally, this is good enough. I agree, adding another icon needs more room and not needed I think.
