Software-based smooth dim?

Hiya,
I recently got the Homey and love most of it so far, but there is one issue I've been unable to solve adequately.
When changing the lights, they always instantly turn to the new lighting setting, even with betterlogic flows a 'smooth' dim does not look as nice as it does when using the original hubs for lighting. (Eg. The original Ikea hub/controller setup) I was wondering if there's some way to make the color changes/transitions go more smoothly when tuning the light. The beta smartphone app seems to be a bit more responsive than the desktop app already, but it's not perfect yet.
Has anyone else ran into this issue and found a solution?

It seems Philips Hue and KAKU lamps change color smoothly.
IKEA Tradfri are the only ones that seemed to instant-change to the new setting.
