Does anyone know if there is a way to detect if the apple tv is in stand-by mode or on??

    Try to Ping your Apple TV, does it (not) reply when in stand-by?
    Or does it have a Port that responds when Online and doesn't when in standby?

    Then https://apps.athom.com/app/nl.terryhendrix.netscan probably will do it!

    When it was that easy i didn't have to ask. I'm already using netscan to scan if my tv is on or off. The real problem is than when the apple tv is in stand-by mode, the device responds also on a ping. After some googling i found some ports but still found not a real solution.

    Am using a wall plug for detecting tv on or not by meassuring power. Maybe an option for the Apple TV also?
