  • Since I received several questions regarding the MCO Home devices, I setup this topic as placeholder / to consolidate all questions regarding MCH Home devices and the app.

Please take into account that this is Work in Progress.
To set expectations: I don't expect to release the app to the app store before the second half of August....
  • For the people asking about the build quality; some pictures.

    The MH-S412 double switch:

From build quality point of view they look better than the Neo touch switch (e.g. glass panel instead of plastic). I will post some comparison images later.

MH7 thermostat for electrical floor heating
  • Any update on this app? I have a couple of MCO Home switches that I want to connect to Homey.

    hi @mehakb,
I'm finalizing another Z-wave all (Hank) right now (this week) based on the new SDK2 and meshdriver (for Z-wave)...
This will be the first Z-wave app on SDK2, and required some additional debugging of the meshdriver.

Once this app is released, I will finalize the MCO Home app. The fundament is already there, awaiting the Z-wave device drivers. Based on SDK2 and the meshdriver, this will be pretty straightforward.

Please be aware that the consequence is that this app will only work as of Homey Software 1.5.x. It does not make sense to develop app based on SDK1 anymore.
  • Thats perfect, thanks for the update. It makes sense to develop on SDK2. I will be awaiting the app.
  • I've updated a development version of the MCOhome app to: https://github.com/TedTolboom/com.mcohome which can be installed via the CLI

Switches should work, when the right ID's are being used... and I'm running into an issue there...
I can't find a source of good productID's and productTypeID's... the ones that I found don't match the switch I have at home...

So can you try to include the switches to Homey (with or without the app installed) and send me the list of product ID's as shown on the device tap, including the type number of the switch (e.g. MH-S412)? I'll include them manually to the app.
  • @Mariuss can you also send me the ID's of your PM2.5 sensor?
  • Installed it via the CLI.
My switch (MH S314) is working very well on my homey 1.5.
    I am happy.
    Thank you Ted   :)

    Good to hear @walter!
I'm in contact with MCOhome to complement the productID's and based on that I will release the app to the App Store (with support for the switches and extending it further over time)
  • What is the best place to buy the 4 button switch?

    Hi @quakerix, I haven't seen significant cheaper shops (like amazon) than the default home automation shops;
they all operate at the same price range..

Please keep in mind that the 4 button switch does not fit into a regular EU-size wall box.

And that I find very disappointing.... Really looks like a very nice switch, just no way to integrate with standard euro 55x55mm boxes and frames. Same with other switches like the NEOs.... :(
  • thx for the info

@Mariuss can you also send me the ID's of your PM2.5 sensor?
    Product / Manufacturer ID?

    Product Type ID: 2565
    Manufacturer ID: 351

Let me know if you were thinking of another ID
  • Product: MH-S314
    Manufacturer ID: 351
    Product Type ID: 12609
    Product ID: 4866

    Hope this helps!
  • Thanks guys; this helps! It does however not correspond to the product ID's I got from the manufacturer, clarifying right now.

I'll finalize the MCOhome app this weekend and will release it to the app store with support for:
    • Touch panel switches (1 - 4 button), e.g. MH-S314
    • MH9 CO2 sensor
    • MH10 PM2.5 sensor
    Supported languages: English & Dutch
    Supported regions: all available

Support for the following devices will be added in a later release:
    • MH7(H)-EH Thermostat for electrical (floor) heating
    • Touch panel dimmer, e.g. MH-P411
    • micro dimmer module,  MH-P220
  • The app has been submitted to the app store... expecting it to become available on Monday or Tuesday

Will MCO Touch Panel 4 Gang (MH-S314) be supported?

EDIT: Just saw the second comment above this.
  • Will MCO Touch Panel 4 Gang (MH-S314) be supported?

EDIT: Just saw the second comment above this.
Hi @lesterchan, yes the MH-S314 is supported.

As also indicated in the opening post, the product ID's MCOHome uses (in combination with different Z-wave regions) are quite inconsistent...
I'm clarifying this with MCOHome at this moment.

If your MH-S314 is not recognized properly, please post your ID's in this topic and I'll add them to the app.
  • The app is available in the app store!
    Looking forward to your feedback.

Thanks for that, it works fine for my MH-S314. Will try other models tonight.

My TouchPanel is mounted inside the wall and it becomes a Faraday cage. The range is pretty short =(

I also want to change an icon and realized it can't be done after seeing your comment on GH https://github.com/athombv/homey/issues/899#issuecomment-305144984

    Thanks for the feedback.

I'll start bugging Athom again on delivery of the solution of the issue mentioned....
last issue; multichannel association got fixed in an afternoon....
  • Thanks for the hard work @TedTolboom =)

MCOHome app v1.0.1 has been released to the app store today:
    Change log: v1.0.1
    * Update to Z-wave meshdriver capabilities * Update correct image Switch-4 * Add additional productID's for Touch Panel Switches (1-4x)
  • Just tried to add my PM2.5 sensor and it reports that no Homey app is available and adds it as a general device.

I see from my earlier post that I forgot to add the product id which is 513

@Mariuss I'll add this productID to the app in the next update (next weekend).
In parallel, I hope to get an update of MCOHome on the clarification of the ID's used (2 different definitions used) to prevent similar issues from reoccuring.
  • Sounds good :) really appreciate the effort
