Danalock v2 Z-Wave

What is possible with the danalock z-wave and homey? Should I buy it? How is the handsfree entry? Can I open the door with homey? Can I log the open and close status? Can I use the open trigger to turn the lights on? How are the iOS and android apps? I read that the first version has many issues! Are they fixed now after one half year?

  • That's a good question for @m-ruiter

    You mean @mruiter
  • Die ja
  • The homey app is not good.
If the door is not locked and you will open the door then you need to lock it and then open it again.

And Yes you can turn on the light if lock is unlocked.
But I use a fibaro door sensor.

    Thank you,
how is the Auto Unlock function with android and iOS?
  • I don't use that function so I don't know.

Ok that means you always use your smartphone to open the door? Is that not ineffective and slower as using the normal key?
  • Yes indeed. You must unlock your phone and go to the app. And you can unlock only from < then 3 meters.

But there's a remote control for the lock. But I don't have it.
  • I dont have the lock unlock unlock trouble with my Dana. I'f also updated some more settings and command class support but have not had the time to test yet.
@Jovink you could try my latest github version. re-pair needed.

My danas work perfect. Even with my 3-point lock . On low speed that is bad i hope the new upcomming Danalock V3 has more power, they say it has much more and more speed
  • @mruiter do you have a door handle an the outside? I don't. So maybe that's the difference.

I'll try the your github version later today.
  • I did not have the time to test it myself. :) Be aware of this. If you have a lot of flows they also have to be recreated because of the re-pair.
  • I only have 2 flow with Danalock so doesn't matter.
But thanks for the warning ⚠️

Do you have any news about the release date?
  • Nope , Danalock only showed a teaser.

Ok thank you! I will ask the Nuki Users! Maybe this device is better for me!

Now i tried your App but Homey says: No compatible app founded.

If i see it right, the app store version and the GitHub are equal.

Now i copied the zwave driver in the node_module subfolder and now i get a new issue:

After i installed the Async module, i get no new error! But i have the same issue like before!

Error: No compatible Homey App found for this device. It has been added as as Basic Z-Wave-Device. Shown in the devices as Uknown Z-Wave.

    Update:
Allright now i can pair it as danalock device. For this i changed the deviceid in your app settings. But after that i can't control it with the danalock app over my iOS device. I have no valid key. And the z-wave control is to short to open or close the door.

    Update:
After a reset everything seams to work.
  • Hi there, it was easy to add the Danalock V2 to Homey with the app. Only thing is that the visible representation is not that nice. I does not show the status of the lock in text or gives by another way the info if it is locked or unlocked
  • Im trying to find some time to rewrite the danalock app with more options and make it configmaker compatible.
Still do not have much spare time to do so....
First i have to finish the Neo siren action cards to change the sound then i will take a close look to the command class door lock to see if more info can be pulled from the danalock
  • I hope you can find some time for it.
The app needs a update and athom doesn't have time for it.

Yes but they make promotion with it. I had to change the id in the code to get it working and asked athom to renew the app or to remove it from the official App Store. I hate this customer experience! If I publish a app and make promotion with it, I am responsible for a working solution. But athom isn't fixing bugs, the love it to bring new features with more bugs before they fix old bugs. It's like the presence problems. Everyone has problems with the default presence solution and have to use some of the customer solutions.
  • I hope they remove it and you or Marco can update it.
I want a button to open the door. No I have to lock the door and reopen it again. And it's not easy to see if it's open or locked.

And indeed other apps get more bugs after a update.
The smarter app doesn't work either.
The triggers won't work on the smarter coffee and Ikettle's.
Also not possible to ask homey for coffee. Only when making a flow for each value.
    But that's a other topic.
