Hue motion sensor and countdown timer issue?

I made a flow when i enter a room where a Hue motion sensor is installed a timer (180 sec) starts uppon motion detection on and play my sonos play1 (and trough hua app itself it turns on the lights). The thing is that when i stay in the room, and move around it does not reset the timer to the start but runs it to the end and then triggers my other flow: When timer (zandloper) is ended pause sonos play1.

So it stops the music altough i am there, when i leave the room and come back within the timer runtime, it actually does reset and start over...

Am i missing something here?, or does the hue motion sensor not give motion detection signal when you are there all the time? i can not figure it out..

999 of the 1000 motion sensors don't send another on command when motion is being kept on for when motion is seen, but just stay on
So the timer never gets reset.

You need to work with the motion stopped trigger off you want things to turn off when no motion was detected for X amount of time

And of course don't forget to stop the timer when motion was detected in the countdown time

Thanks for the fast reply;  i will try it out!

Edit: it seems to work fine now: I made 3 flows:

    1. Motion detected on: start Sonos / stop timer
    2. Motion detected off: start timer
    3. When timer ends: stop Sonos.

I am trying to work this out, but how did you configure the timer ?.... Sorry but new around the interface :-)
  • Timers is done with the countdown app, u can find it in the AppStore.
