  • 1.1.5 experimental

    • Backup and restore tool (we hope Homey is now Dummy Proof)
    • Now you can ask Homey all kind of questions (even to bring you a beer)
    • Resolved all bugs that can cause Homey lockups or reboots
    • Homey can now de-ice your car
    • Various secret improvements
  • Does no-one have any issues with 1.1.4 experimental?
  • Sure we did, that's why we upgraded to 1.1.5!  :D
  • They just removed 1.1.5.
There was a bug in the bring a beer code.
Also Homey wasn't able to de-ice your car in the summer.
But the good news is, next year all these issues are resolved.

Are there any expectations regards the release date? I am very eager to use the zwave topology map to figure some things out. But not willing to go to dev code. (experimental is experimental enough as it is)

never mind, I see 1.1.4 was released just recently. I am sure it wasn't feb 1 though as the firmware page states ;-)
  • so where is the....?

The long-awaited Media update has taken a lot longer than we had hoped, but we're still on schedule to release it to the experimental channel in January. From the start, Sonos and Heos will be supported as speakers, and SoundCloud, Google Play Music and YouTube as players. There will be a Spotify app, but for now it will only work with a Sonos speaker that has a Spotify account connected already. We're still fighting with Spotify to get the functionality we need to get this working, which often feels as David vs. Goliath, but we won't give up!

Up for release as well is a new speech parser, which makes it much easier for developers to parse sentences, and will in general allow for much more natural commands.

Not here yet. I expect today's news update to inform us that they are no longer on schedule.
  • Media update will probably be made available just after Bluetooth & IR(improved) implementation ?
  • Well, they're still on schedule for a release this year...
