  • Little bump because I'm also curious.
  • I'm new here, this is my first post! I want to ditch my HomeWizard and buy a Homey at launch! But for now I have a Smart Energy monitor (Slimme Meter) and a HomeWizard Energylink, What integration or support of monitoring energy is with Homey? I also looking to buy a Wifi Doorbell and I'm choosing between a Ring or Skybell 2.0
It would be great if Homey also supports Wifi doorbells!
  • +1 for the energy link question.
  • For smappee give an API. For the Doorbells i haven't see it yet. Skybell want to give an API in the future, i don't know what is it with Ring or Doorbird.

Smappee: they have an API. We'll have to check first how many people have one (otherwise it's a waste of time). Otherwise, feel free to implement it.

Energy link: I'd love to support it, but I'm not sure if HomeWizard will be happy with that...
  • Hi I have a Ring as well, not sure if there is an api but it would be very nice to integrate (for example to get my pip on tv with people at the door)

Ring will come with an API in the near feature:
    https://ring.com/help

WILL THERE BE AN APPLICATION PROGRAMMING INTERFACE (API)?
We are working on an API and intend to release it in early 2015.

I'm going to buy a Ring this week and I would love to have it integrated with Homey!
Just to put the hallway lights on after sunset when the Ring doorbell rings!
  • The Problem is that says skybell want to give an api since 9 Month, i hope Ring is a litlle bit quicker to give an api. I wait 2 Weeks for my.Ring from ben van dijk i think. The dutch people like this when have this shipping time, i have now the Skybell 1 but this is horrible with b/g wireless lan, i dont have see this last year that is why i am buy the Ring now.

    Sunny greets from Germany
  • Here another Sky Bell which I would like to integrate with my new homey.

    Any progress on this lately?
  • I'm intresting in the Doorbird and his open api, it's not cheap but the specs and reviews are great and worth the money.
    Any news on this?

I think this can be a win/win. Homewizard can sell the energylink/heatlink seperate from the homewizard.
So i surely would like to see these 2 links separately supported by homey. I say go for it :)
  • Just to inform there is an Ring app in store: https://apps.athom.com/app/com.ring
And I can say it's working great
  • I did see that and Ring was my first choise but after some reading i go for the Doorbird, also supported by Zipato and Synology.

Although I'm not really a programmer I'm currently working on a basic Homey app for Doorbird. I have my Doorbird for about 2-3 weeks now and I'm very happy with it. App is working great, integration with Synology as security cam is awesome. Love it!
  • Yeah there open API support is also great to, nice to hear you working on a app :)
  • This one looks good to

Interesting price, hope it is also supported as the Doorbird, i have something to read :)
  • I don't know for sure if that's the right API. I'm on my mobile. driving and searching at the same time is not good.

    Yes indeed.
Don't know what to buy, the doorbot or this new one.

Is there anyone who wants to create a app for it

Don't know for sure but i think it is, and driving and searching could also be expensive ;)

Seems to be an api document for an IP camera. There is nothing in there about a doorbell. Might still work with the doorbell camera though.

  • I had contact with Dahua and they told me there's no open API.

So so I decided to send it back and give doorbird a chance.

i hope someone will create a app for it.
