How to compare Homey with other devices?
I came across this site: https://domoticavergelijken.nl. Unfortunately it is dutch only, but it is capable to compare all kind of systems. Eg: https://domoticavergelijken.nl/vergelijken/416/240/174/351
If you are aware of other interesting sites (domotica related) please share them with us.

I came across with this site before. If nest is there as a home automatization controller, than Echo, SmarThings, etc should be there too. I believe the real competitors are: Zipato, Homee Cube, RaspberryPI solutions.
There is also other projects like b1hub but don’t give much credit for that. I think it will end up as Alyt.
My short answer would be: Homey is an improved HomeWizard.
A separation is forming between hubs and sensors/actors. Klik-Aan-Klik-Uit (Click-On-Click-Of) products, Philips hue lamps, Nest thermostat or Fibaro are all sensors/actors.
HomeWizard, Homey, Smarthing, Echo and Domoticz are hubs.
Even though Philips hue and Nest are also hubs, the hubs provided by these vendors mainly focuses on their own products (with some room to expend to other vendors). Personally, I like what the "independent" hubs try to do: To combine and enrich fragmented world into a single solution and let the end-user chose the optimal sensor/vendor for each use.
