Does anyone know if it is possible to use the default Harmony app from Logitec to change the volume of the Onkyo TX-NR656 through a number. For example, 10 sets the volume to 10, etc.

  • Not sure if it's what you mean, but with the Onkyo app for Homey you can set the volume to a number using the volume card.

  • I don't have a Harmony hub, so don't know the answer sadly! (I am the writer of the Onkyo app for Homey)

Hmm, good question, I just checked with an old Pioneer AV-receiver and the Harmony can only be configured to give a (single) mute/volume up/volume down command, so not a fixed volume. But perhaps this is possible for the Onkyo because this is a newer product (although I think it will not be different). So probably someone who has both needs to check it out
  • The Onkyo has a http API that supports setting a specific volume. However, I don't think that it will support the same using infrared. At least I couldn't find a way to do that using the remote.
