tv guide for the Homey

Would it be possible to create a tv guide for the homey: for example When I say, when is football on the tv that Homey answers with the time and channel?

  • Nice idea and a flow that turns on your television when show X is starting and when you're home of course..!

Problem is that most tv-guide api's are not public. I have looked into this a couple of months ago ( for another project) and the only way to get this done is to scrape websites and well.. that is not really reliable.

I just sent them an e-mail about if I could start using the api for Homey.
  • They do indeed. But I prefer to ask permission first ;)

If you have a enigma2 based satellite receiver. You can maybe use the enigma2 api to get the epg (electronic program guide) information from the receiver.  ;)

Unfortunately I have never learned to program but if somebody was able to make an app for enigma2 based satellite recievers they could add cards for information scanned from the recievers epg (tv guide).
  • i own a dreambox 8000,so i can test is someone is willing to make an app

And here you go: https://forum.athom.com/discussion/2885/tv-gids. Still some work to be done but the basic idea is there.
