New App Sunrise -> Replaced by Sun Events!

edited November 2016 in Apps
Hi,

I need some people that can test my Sunrise app. I am new to this development and this is my first app. Before I submit this to the app store I would like to have it tested by some people to make sure that I didn't make huge mistakes.

I am not good into the graphic, so the icon cost me a lot of time but still sucks. So hopefully someone else has better skills then I have.

You can find it on github:

Great idea, will stop hopefully some hard flows. I will pull it this evening to see how it works :)
  • Installed it. Installing went smooth, seems no problems with that. Made a test flow and it fires with the test button.
Now lets wait till sun goes down!

Must say, the built-in sunset card triggered at the same time!

    Edit: Dusk triggered again now.

Would work something like this where you can give a positive offset and a negative offset (range -60 till 60 minutes)?

  • Yes! Perfect
  • Small update, fix for sometimes duplicated triggers.
  • Installed V0.0.2.
    Lets see tonight
  • Trigger 1 hour late, time is correct in system settings page. Any clue?

    Thanks
  • Fired 2 times. 1 at the correct time and 1 half an hour later.

You are sure you do not have multiple triggers? Which trigger did you use?

Thanks, I will look into this. I am wondering if this has nothing to do with the 0.10 release (I assume you have this). But I will debug, until now at my homey I have no issues...

Have indeed 2 triggers. Zonsondergang en zonsondergang begint. Thought they fired both twice but now u brought me in de war hehe. Gonna delete 1 of them and check again tomorrow.

When I set the offset on -10 is it logic that the sunset (f.e) is 10 minutes earlier? Or just if I say -10 I put the current clock 10 minutes back and the sunset is 10 minutes later?? I think the first one is more logic..

Anyway the basics seem to work. I am know testing...
  • All seems fine now, good job!

Are you having problems with the CLI? It's a great tool if you want to install apps not in the app-store or update before they are approved.
