Add possibility to import and export flows

Just a suggestion: Add possibility to import and export flows.

We can share nice flows on the forum and backup flows we already made.

  • And a possibility to copy / paste a flow in a new flow.

And how would you want to do that if you consider that everyone is using different devices ( different names etc) ?

    still..    i like the idea.
the other devices you can chance in own devices and names.
and; one can copy a flow to use it as a base to make another flow (aangepast) and then testing it.

Replace them with default values like <devicetype><defaultdevicename><ascending-number> or popupwindow when importing to change the values needed. Just a suggestion.

The Athom whizkids will probably figure out a smart solution, don't you think? ;)
  • Its a bit more complex as each device gets a unique ID,  so if you backed up your flows and then did a reset and added the same devices again the flow would not find the original device as it would most likely have a new ID.  To implement this they would need to have some sort of import wizard.

Not impossible but more work than you would expect.

Sounds like a nice to have for the very far future  :#

Unique ID of a device is always the same ID, because it's unique for that device.

Athom also describes this in de dev. docs, where the suggest to use things like mac address or other unique device identifiers as the internal ID.

So as long as the device is available, flows should work.

Also Emile already mentioned it's on the (very, very, very) long to do list, so if it's on the list then it should be possible to add/make.
