I'd like a mod changing Homey to a Borg cube.
  • would be interesting if there is a Homey freak who can paintbrush.

  • Yes, it was brute force. And it was the trick not to smash it to bits.

The advantage of PlastiDip is that it can be removed very easily.

Check some videos on YouTube, for example DipYouCar. Nice tutorials
  • I wan't an anodised aluminum finish <3

@Fire69 that is the reason I bought it (don't want to mess up my homey)
  • To be blunt, I don't think you'll be able to get a good paintjob without taking it apart. The openings just under the ring are many and tiny. It's going to be a bitch to close those off and still do a good paint job. Oh well. Good luck!

there are a few options 1. still have some stuff from good old airbrush days (precision knife/sticky plastic)

Maybe paint whole homey (incl leds) cut with precision knife the edge between led and homey
  • Paint will enter homey through the openings, possible covering the leds. The 2 mics are close to the edge with very small holes, if you fill those homey will never do an 'Oops' again!
  • Alright but just know that there are holes, many of them, that lead directly to the electronics in the Homey, like the IR receiver, IR blasters, microphones, and stuff like that. Sooooooo be careful.

Thanks for the warning (will do some testing before doing my homey)

losing IR is no problem for me I'm using logitech for this and all equipement is closed cabinet  (except TV)
    microphone I want to protect
