How does Homey address opentherm ?
Hi,
Is or will it be possible to connect homey with opentherm ? (2-wire)
Or will you support usb devices like http://otgw.tclcode.com/ ?
Thanks !

Homey support Thermosmart and Thermosmart has opentherm
But a hardware connection between Homey and an opentherm device can only be done with the usb port!
Or you can connect Homey to Toon (for example) which is connected to an opentherm device.
Supporting an Opentherm Thermostat != Homey supporting OpenTherm
Opentherm is a "encrypted" protocol and you will need specific hardware to interact with it.
Thermosmart probably has a API and Homey talks to the API. So the Thermosmart does the Opentherm translation from/to Homey through the API.
Homey only has 1 USB On-The-Go port and connecting other USB devices should be possible (as far as i understand Emile)

Some more on opentherm
From what I read there. No support for the serial version (duh), only support for specific thermostats with an API. (and no direct 2 wire support -- made sense)
Best options are combing with arduino :-(
So it's pretty safe to say that http://otgw.tclcode.com (usb version) will not be supported directly ...
There is also the zwave Heating Control from Benext that may work... Never got it running properly using a Vera zwave controller (didn't spend much time trying either). But I hope I'll have more luck using the Homey.
