Since Athom hasn't given us a list of voice commands, let's try to create one.

The triggers are "time" and "date" at least in Dutch "tijd" en "datum" is enough (so forbidden words?).
  • What are you
  • Ok, let's continue this elsewhere. I see that not all commands are in Marcof's posting

  • And a the commandlist in dutch?
Or can i just translate it.
  • if i try dutch words homey recognises it perfectly but (speech controller) but nothing happens. If i set my homey to english the voice commands work but the the speech controller doesn't understand my sentences correctly. In the beginning it did but it seems later on the evening it's getting worse (and no i don't drink ;-) )

I am working on a list of built-in voice commands to put on the website. Unfortunately it will still take some time before it's completed, but in the meantime I can occasionally post phrases here as I am adding/updating speech functionality. For example, lighting speech commands are getting an update as of version 0.8.31. Some of the things you will be able to say:
    turn on the lights
    turn off the lights
    change the lights to green
    change the lights to white
change the lights to warm white
turn on the lights in the living room and set them to orange

    To adjust brightness:
dim the lights to X percent
I want you to dim the lights
    turn up the lights
    turn down the lights
turn on the lights and turn them up all the way
increase the brightness of the lights all the way

The same functionality will also be available in Dutch as of version 0.8.31
  • My Homey is updated to 0.8.30 and the speech recognition doesn't work anymore. Also in the speech manager doesn't show what homey hears. In version 0.8.29 it worked ok. After a few times saying the command he activated the correct flow. But now he only listens, first flashing yellow ring then white and then noting. Will the speech recognition be fixed in version 0.8.31or is there another solution?
  • Lets hope the fix it the next update.....
  • Same issue here. No words are recognised. Only "what time is it" works sometimes.
I made a flow with just the word "Lamp" but that doesn't work at all.
  • You can't make flows with 'light'  or 'lamp'  in it. Those will never work correctly...

I tried several things, "lamp on", "test", "lamp", "desk lamp on", "desk light".... None of them work.
I tried to put language into Dutch, same issue. i'm on v 0.8.30
Is there a way to go back to 0.8.29 just to see if it works there?

You can't go back to a previous version, no.

As Fire69 mentioned it isn't a good idea to create flows that conflict with built-in voice commands.

Does it work when you enter the text manually in <homey IP>/manager/speech-input/?
  • It works when i type it there.
It just doesn't recognise me when i'm talking.
When i see in the speech input it gives me completely different things.
When i say "desk", it says "that's" in speech-input.
  • Same here, suddenly recognition is horrible (if it even works at all)

Ok, so it's not only mine ;-) Dutch is even worse.
Doesn't recognise anything, even in speech-input nothing appears.
  • Its not only a good idea its a big not done to build flows which use build-in keywords such as "TV,Television, Radio, Lamp(s), Light(s), Screens, Dim, Color, etc".

    It again would be great if @Athom delivers a complete list with used/built-in keywords AND(!)  a warning in the flowmanager;
Caution, you're using a built-in keyword, this will create a conflict and all (built-in) flows based on this flow will fail.
  • It's with all words i use ("desk"', "buro", "test", ...)
  • I have got this flow (in Dutch) to turn on my lights in the living room and works really good, about 80% hit. I have got a similar one with only the key word 'slapen' to turn all off and that is also 80-90% hit. Very strange that so much people have so much different experiences with Homey. For me e.g. KAKU worked 100% on .29 and .30 and only frooze once yesterday, and a reboot fixed it easily.

  • I can conform this but one funny experions occured when my wife yesterday say " ok pino"  homey it triggerd flows? ?? Now we use ok pino all the time and seems to trigger even Better than "ok homey"
  • Goodmorning all, I have also received my Homey yesterday and install wen't ok, wifi setup I had to do twice, but it worked. I have updated to experimental 0.8.30 and setup Homey in Dutch because of my family. My question regarding voice is, could you alter the speed of the output voice? I'm having troubles with following what is spoken, such like a "wiki" speech output, it is going very fast. Chosen voice is: "Ruben"

This would be a very helpful setting for us too. Like you said with the wiki it is sometimes very hard to understand everything, also in English.
