New Homey won't install/update

Dear all,

I have been trying for more then an hour getting the Homey to work but unfortunately it gets stuck. This is the last screen that will show, nothing more happens. I am connected to the same network. No luck. Really frustrating experience

Actually it has moved on to the next screen, I think its my home WiFi which is somehow going mad.

Wondering if your Homey will go into this state when the update is finished as well:

Kinda weird tho, the update my Homey downloaded was 200+ MB in size. Yours only 73.0 MB?

Luckily not.... it said it was going to download voice, was a bit slow and now its this multi colour ring and I can login. I think its good

73MB is the correct filesize.
a 200MB+ update happens when homey has detected a filesystem corruption. This can be caused by an interruption of a previous update process.

Alright, that explains the different update size. Update seemed to be going fine as my.athom.com also showed the Homey was restarting after downloading the update. After that solid red ring. Any suggestions @JeroenVollenbrock ;?

That's weird... i had the same problem, and i use also Unifi AP ... maybe the problem was related to the AP brand...

i have the same problem as Robert.
Also mailed Athom.

I have tried to reset my homey( to shut down the power) and hold it upside down for 5 seconds.

Now the led ring flashes purple for over 30 min already.

What now?

Problem is, my homey is not linked to my account!?

i just login in the homey setup.. but nothing happends??

Received my homey today, after setup I wat able to login to my homey but couldn't install any app (just says error). Then I looked to my software version and it was 0.0.0 update. So I tried to update the homey the manual way. The download completed succesfully and firmware was started to update (moving orange ring) but the update-process ended with the red ring. Now Homey won't boot or do anything. Both methods to reset doesn't work (it doesn't start a countdown). So what are my options now?

I was looking for this information yesterday but I couldn't find it, didn't think of the Google cache haha. Today I received the same information from Stefan from Athom and performed the recovery by using a Ubuntu Live from an USB drive.

Although this worked for me to solve my problems Stefan stated I was lucky to get it recovered by using a Ubuntu Live distro because in their experience it fails most of the time.
