    If you use enough paint, sure it will. For about 10 minutes. And then fingerprints and dust show.

    Other ways to "enhance" your Homey..

    Maybe we should start a Pimp My Homey thread.. :)
  • April 1 is coming I guess.. they do not show how it is mounted and the 90 degree move requires steering in a way you could achieve the same with normal tires. The supporting footage has a too high fake james bond look.

    its the car from I Robot

  • I think the concept of spherical wheels is valid and achievable, especially with battery technology and electromagnetic drive technology the way it is now. I only wonder what would happen if you go over a speedbump a little too fast.  :)

    The crabbing motion (sideways rolling) could easily be done with a traditional steering wheel by having, for example, a button on the steering wheel that you keep pressed down. Release the button and 'standard' steering is done instead. I'm just naming an example of how simply it could be done. Could also just be a button on the gearstick or whatever.

    Now whether it's USEFUL...heh... maybe not so much.

    This just makes me want to paint the Homey black. As soon as I have it, I think I will do just that. Matt black.
    @Novaflash please keep in mind to use the right paint. some paint can block rf signals.

  • To prevent Homey from taking over my house I did this. Just figuring out which maze-width to use... Anyone?
  • 1/4 lambda of the highest frequency.
    Highest frequency is 2,4 GHz --> wavelength = 125mm --> 125 / 4 = 31,25 mm.
  • Great, now I can contain the beast >:)
