Prevent Hacking homey

Guys, 

today i came across this linkk and thought of Homey.

and a way to mittigate this risk?

  • I think in time everyone should be able to rename Homey with a custom call. Now already I could walk past your house, call "Hey Homey", set temperature to 35". I don't think speech recognition will be so good it will be able to distinguish voices....

    Yes it is, not sure about the service that Athom uses for homey, but my iPhone and iPad will only accept 'Hey Siri' from my voice. When siri is allready active it accepts any voice.
  • If they are that close, they are probably in your house. How do you prevent someone in your house touching the thermostat or using a generic remote (like an IR)?
    Keep them out with a door closed and locked. You can't blame Homey for that.

    Only thing I would love to see is who is accessing Homey remote  (IP address, browser session etc. Like google or fb uses ) and a button to log all sessions out and force apps to authenticate.

    if temperature is set above 25 send message to your phone
